The Design Process
It all starts with a phone call. From there, we can be as involved as you like.
If you have grand plans for your kitchen, then we can make them a reality. If you have no idea what to do with the room, we can be as involved in the design process as necessary.
The one thing that you can count on is that we strive to create the kitchen that you want.
What’s Needed to Undergo Kitchen Remodeling?
Before you remodel your kitchen, you need to be sure that you have the money and time to be able to do it properly. We can help you to work out the budget before we get started, and you should make sure that you have enough to cover everything, especially the appliances before the remodeling gets underway. There is nothing worse than ending up with a half-finished kitchen.
You also need time. You are going to be without your kitchen for a few weeks. There will be some time in there when you can use a partially-finished kitchen, but there will also be times where there is no power, water, countertops, and more. Plan to be without the kitchen for the entire duration and you will be fine.
You also need to know about permits, but we can also help you with that. Depending on where you live and what you are having done, you might need to have permits pulled before the work starts. If you decide to hire us, we can do that part for you.
To Hire Us
At Woodlands Home Remodelers, our goal is to design and remodel your dream kitchen.
Reasons why you should choose us:
1. With decades of experience, we’ve seen it all when it comes to kitchens and can handle anything.
2. Unlike many contractors, we actually answer the phone and always act professional.
3. Nobody is more experienced at building outdoor living spaces for the whole family.
What Happens During a Kitchen Remodel?
The remodeling starts after the design is approved by you and all permits are in place. The first stage of the remodeling is demolition. We will remove countertops, cupboards, appliances, and anything else that is to be taken out and disposed of (which we will also do).
Depending on if you are moving electric and plumbing lines, professionals may need to be brought in to do that work. During this time, we can also take a look at the underlying structures to ensure that everything is solid before we get back to work.
After that, we will install the new cupboards, countertops, appliances, and everything else. With some finishing touches, fresh paint, tiles, and anything else, your kitchen will be ready to be used.

How Much Does It Cost To Remodel A Kitchen?
The average kitchen cost, for a small kitchen, comes in at around $24,000, so adjust your budget accordingly depending on the size of your own kitchen, though we will also give you a free quote. You can also calculate by the cost of your home. Take 10% of the value of your home and, if you put that towards a kitchen renovation, you are going to maintain the value of your home.
The biggest cost is the cabinetry and you can expect to spend almost a third of your budget on that alone. Appliances, countertops, and installation will take up a good chunk of the rest.
You can save money by choosing cheaper appliances but, when it comes to other materials, it is always best to go for quality. Spending a little more at the outset is going to ensure that the kitchen lasts for a long time, and you will save money in the long run.
Be sure to be upfront with what you want at the design stage so that there are no surprises. Of course, discovered problems once the project is underway, like rot in the structural wood, is going to add extra expenses.
